Here at Ebsford we are proud to support our local clubs and organisations, most recently two well-deserving football teams; Dewsbury Rangers FC and Altofts AFC. Teams like these provide a fun and friendly environment and also a chance for people to get outdoors, exercise and meet others with a similar interest.
About the teams
Since 1993 Dewsbury Rangers have always been at the heart of the local community in Earlsheaton. Offering opportunities for children as young as 5 years old, who are just starting their football journey.
On this occasion we have chosen to sponsor the Ladies team (the only female team in the club). The team have been moving forward in their league since 2012 and with their 8th season approaching, excitement is building for what could be achieved. Our sponsorship will contribute toward club clothing for the ladies.
Deb Thomas, the Fundraising Chair of the club was pleased to receive the donation, “Thank you for offering to sponsor the Ladies team at Dewsbury Rangers FC. Dewsbury Rangers FC are a local Charter Standard Community Club with age groups that range from under 7’s to open age. This season the club are entering our 26th year of providing football to the local community and are looking forward to the season ahead”.
Established in the early 1890’s, Altofts AFC is the largest non-league club in Wakefield.
The club currently has 2-sides playing in the West Yorkshire Association Football League and this year is quite monumental for the club with going into their 125th season since formation!
Being a focal point of the local community and holding numerous social events throughout the year, the club have built a solid reputation for providing opportunities to individuals of all ages. The ground has great facilities, including a clubhouse, covered stand and pitch, all fully run by volunteers.
We have chosen to sponsor the club, rival to the team of our Managing Directors daughter, to contribute towards the upkeep of the facilities and provide a bit of healthy competition amongst the ladies.
Over the years, Ebsford Environmental have sponsored many organisations and charities, to help provide opportunities for people. It has been a great pleasure to give back to our community and local teams, watching them grow together with our support.
